Y6SL Class (Year 6 Mr Lawrence)
Good Morning 6SL,
I hope that you are still all keeping well at home! The weather in the next week is supposed to be really nice, so try and enjoy yourself and safely as you can. I know for some, staying at home is becoming frustrating, but it will be brilliant to see you all safe and sound. I know that there is a lot of things on the news at the moment about school opening, then not, but remember that we are always here to answer any questions you have and help out where we can!
I have set some more work on MyMaths for you this week, although you are able to work through any of the lessons on there. I would like you to be focussing on your times tables at the moment. We have found this year that the more confident you are with them, the easier we are finding the work. I have included some work in your packs for you to have a go at too. A few more of you have been working through this work, so well done.
I will set another competition going in TTRockstars too. I think we will have to show Year 5 how great Year 6 are. Make sure you get on and have a go at some of the challenges. We only ever beat Year 5, so we need to make sure we do that this time too.
A few more of you have started using the science website ‘Developing Experts’ to complete some of your learning. There are videos on there, along with lessons and PowerPoints that you can look at. It’s a great website, so try and get on there as much as you can. I would love to see as many of you on there as possible to help with your science whilst off.
If you are needing any help with anything, give me a message on SeeSaw. I am still able to teach you on there and it would be a shame if you don’t use me. We have had some really good videos of new skills that are being learnt – lots of gymnast and art skills going on. The more the better!!
I have been trying to improve my different languages, trying to learn a little more Slovak and a little bit of Arabic. Both incredibly difficult, but good fun. I need you all to be back so you can teach me some more! If you have anything online that would help or that you use to learn your languages, feel free to send it on SeeSaw and we can all have a go!
I hope that we do see each other soon and that you have a wonderful week.
Mr Lawrence and Mr Beardsmore.
