Astrea Academy Trust’s vision is that ‘all Astrea children will learn, thrive and lead successful lives’ achieved through its Theory Of Change.

The Astrea Academy Trust has the highest expectations of pupil attainment in national assessments, but its aspirations take them beyond the concept of “schooling”. Astrea educates, rather than schools. With an impassioned by-line, “Inspiring Beyond Measure”, Astrea states its commitment to ‘educate, not just school’. Astrea’s future success is underpinned by a strong set of shared values. These values are important because they support the vision, shape the culture, and make a statement about what Astrea hold dear: scholarship, curiosity, tenacity.

The Astrea Academy Trust logo communicates the importance placed on collaboration, development and aspiration: the three figures are coming together in the shape of a tree, which represents growth, whilst the tallest figure reaches upwards, towards a star, which is above and beyond the highest branch of the tree. ‘Reach for the top of the tree and you may get to the first branch but reach for the stars and you’ll get to the top of the tree’ (Lemn Sissay).
